On the Agenda for next week's board meeting:
13.2 To Adopt Resolution 2011-03 denying the petition for the Highland Academy Charter School.
I don't think I've ever seen an agenda item asking the board to deny something. They could at least pretend they seriously considered this one.
15.2 Consider approving Option I as the facilities project funding plan that would allow the District to issue the second series of Measure Z General obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed $30 million.
I am already paying $48 per $100,000 assessed value in property taxes for the first $20,000,000 in Measure Z money which now will not cover the cost of projects for which it was budgeted. At the last board meeting we were told by the district's financial advisor that the state won't allow tax payers to pay more than $60 per $100,000. How are they going to get away with this one? They will...
